Job Description

CTG is currently recruiting for a Schedule Coordinator to provide support to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program, Interagency Program Office (IPO). This is a 12-month project and candidates must be local to the Washington, DC area, as no travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Maintain and update the schedule for the organization, which includes all IPO key activities and milestones such as the dates of key events, and interim and final deliverable dates for a broad portfolio of IT interoperability work activities.
* Support the development of schedule management processes and guidelines to be used throughout all IPO Divisions.
* Solicit schedule inputs, monitor, and report on schedule management performance across the IPO.
* Maintain procedures for reporting status and prepare papers and electronic communications for senior leaders.
* Facilitate schedule-focused meetings with internal and external stakeholders, analyze and recommend courses or actions, and conduct what-if analysis, as required.

Basic qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline is required
* Minimum of 10 years of experience. Minimum of 8 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements
* Experience managing Information Technology related projects
* Well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies
* Experience tracking costs, schedule and performance progress
* Ability to identify and mitigate risks

Additional qualifications:

* Experience in the VA
* Experience integrating electronic health records a plus
* Experience with Microsoft Online and Project Web App
* Experience with solving analytical problems and determining preventative measures
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
