General Purpose of the Role/Job Position Summary Description:

* The Project Manager (PM) will lead a consulting/delivery project for one or more projects for a specific Nokia customer.


* The Project Manager role is responsible for execution of the project from post-sales through requirements analysis,
* design, implementation, verification, go-live as well as the release to maintenance and support.


* Project Manager (PM) owns the delivery of the entire Customer contract execution scope - products and services.
* PM's serve as a project principal and is responsible for the overall success of planning and implementing a project as per contract defined by Statement of Work and Customer Requirement Documents and as per internal QMS standards.
* The PM represents Nokia on an assignment basis and is the primary contact for the assigned scope for planning and
* execution, resource allocation, prioritization and escalation topics for the entire services and delivery process.


* PM's may supervise the work of Nokia internal resources, vendors and customer personnel to achieve project commitments through lab (Nokia & customer) and production deployments.

* Leading the Customer Program Management Team

* Project control functions for complex projects


* Initiating projects/programs with ill-defined scope


* Planning various aspects of the project's execution; from development, lab verifications, acceptance testing, and deployment with final acceptance along with organizing necessary resources to provide the customer with technical, management and cost proposals.



Required Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)

* Bachelor´s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business (major in Computing) or applicable Industry experience


* At least 5 years in hands-on project management experience in a software product company or Big 5 consulting firm.


* At least 5 years managing software consulting and/or services delivery experience is highly desirable.


* At least 9 years experience creating and executing project budgets and managing project profitability


* At least 9 years experience managing multiple projects in a software development and/or project management environment with 5 or more team members.


* At least 9 years experience scoping and estimating project effort (number of resources and duration)


* Previous experience in the following technical domains
* Distributed Systems deployment


* Technical Solutions Architecture


* Networking (TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, etc)`




* Strong Project Management, Program Management, and Technical Delivery experience required


* Prior knowledge and successful experience delivering technology solutions to all levels within an organization


* Prior knowledge and experience with delivering solutions that consider system performance, usability, scalability, and overall operational/maintenance costs


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience working directly with both business and technical stakeholders - Prior knowledge and successful experience leading/managing internal process/quality teams and identifying and facilitating process/quality improvements.


* Previous consulting experience in the Telecommunications industry is highly desirable.


* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage partner deliverables.


* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.


* PMP certification highly desirable.
