Project Manager IT Scrum Master

Position Summary

The IT Project and Resource Management team is seeking a Project Manager IT Scrum Master reporting to the GM of the team. The Project Manager IT Scrum Master is accountable for assisting in the coordination of large-scale implementations, enterprise-wide corporate and IT initiatives, driving rapid realization of the company's corporate strategic goals through initiative delivery and execution to meet needs and expectations of MVP customers and business partners. The individual will coordinate planning, collaboration, reporting and execution activities across multiple cross discipline teams. The individual will work with Product Owners and Scrum Teams to apply, implement and enforce Scrum principles and practices, facilitating continuous improvement, and identifying and removing impediments to delivery. They will also help protect the team from outside influences, which could otherwise interfere with the team's ability to deliver value in a short time-box (iteration). This is a highly visible role that will continuously facilitate a team dynamic intended to maximize performance by continuously improving agile practices.

Essential Responsibilities

* Coordinate across other Agile teams for complex projects
* Escalate impediments to help your team ship code
* Leverage data to measure & monitor progress against commitments
* Communicating progress to the RTE and attending Scrum-of-Scrum sessions
* Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, daily Scrum Meetings, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
* Support all inter- and intra- team communication
* Calculate ongoing team capacity and velocity
* Support Product Management in their creation of lightweight, living planning documents, like an Agile Product Roadmap
* Lead working session meetings to discuss scope, schedule and requirements with product owners
* Support Continuous Delivery in the implementation of various agile techniques such as TDD, BDD, Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, DevOps
* Manage product quality, releases and delivery
* Work with stakeholders to accurately report progress, risks, successes, and failures
* Maintain a close working relationship with the product owner, scrum team and other stake holders
* Help to ensure development teams work toward core the Scrum principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in related discipline and/or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and four (4) previous years of relevant experience
* Two (2) years of experience in IT Program/Project Management
* One (1) years of Agile Project Management experience
* One (1) years of working with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle
* CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or CST (Certified Scrum Trainer)
* Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
* Knowledge of SharePoint, Outlook, MS Project, Microsoft Office tools
* Creation of PowerPoint presentations for leadership audiences
* Available for occasional overnight travel (up to 10%)
* Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
* Ability to work well under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
* Strong research, analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
* Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
* Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

* Experience with Project and Portfolio Management tools a plus (WorkFront, Jira, VersionOne)
* SAFe Agilest certification preferred
* SAFe Advanced ScrumMaster certification preferred
* CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or CST (Certified Scrum Trainer)

* Regular attendance and punctuality
* Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
* Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
