Job Description

This position will serve as a key resource to manage and facilitate the day to day project/program implementation functions of a major US Government ID/IQ contract (US Department of State) and be responsible for the transition execution and activities of a global VoIP/Unified Communications (UC) environment and network based on a Cisco Unified Communications solution. The position will report to the AMERICAN SYSTEMS' Program Manager (PM) leading the overall program. The Implementation Manager will also be assisting with and monitoring progress towards the established goals of the DIS Communications Technologies Directorate of AMERICAN SYSTEMS with respect to this contract.

The Implementation Manager will direct all aspects of the VoIP/UC solution transition planning, installation, and cutover schedules worldwide for U.S. Embassies/Consulates. The Implementation Manager will interact with the PM to ensure activity schedules are adhered to and all cutover activity satisfies the requirements of the client. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordination of team activities including the Engineering, Logistics and Quality Control teams and interaction with local agents responsible for transition support.

Additional responsibilities include:

* Receive, coordinate, and process purchase orders from the government in compliance with corporate policy and procedures;
* Track orders, schedule deliveries and installation personnel, and process work completion forms (government signatures required);
* Develop and maintain required project report/sales reports as required internally and for the government per the contract requirements;
* Conduct frequent customer and team member contact and ensure project is meeting/exceeding implementation/transition schedule and contract requirements;
* Assist with periodic internal "audits" or reviews or control deficiency remediation efforts; and
* Work with management within and outside of the directorate to assist in the effort to establish quality control of deliverables and service provided.

Job Requirements

* BS Degree or equivalent and minimum fifteen years' experience in major government telecommunications projects/contracts (valued over $20M +) as a senior project/program manager.
* Must have experience in PBX/Key System/VoIP systems/wireless solutions/cable infrastructure project planning and management for the installation/scheduling/testing and training aspects of major Government contracts. Desired experience/familiarity with Cisco voice, data, and video products/solutions and/or contact center solutions.
* Top Secret Clearance Required
* Possession of some Cisco certifications.
* Possession of PMI - PMP certification.
* Familiarity of Microsoft Communications solution or possess an MCSE certification.
* Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with a high energy level and willingness to aggressively take on responsibility.
* Demonstrated ability to approach job responsibilities with a focus on process improvement.
* Strong computer knowledge including working knowledge of financial analysis tools.
* Able to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, including executive management.
* Sound technical experience in assessing telecommunications support requirements as well as conducting required administrative tasks required for the projects.
* Strong verbal and writing skills.
