Project manager II - IT




As Project Manager III - IT, your specific responsibilities will include:

* Plan priorities that impact multiple or enterprise/global projects.
* Manage end-to-end project delivery of multiple projects with highly complex issues, tech platforms.
* Typically manage projects at the Enterprise level.
* Project point of contact for communications, milestones and review briefings.
* Accountable for assuring effective transition into production and meeting production acceptance readiness criteria.
* Highly effective organization of meetings to ensure flow, participation, progress, proactive mitigation of risks and issues; can train others.
* Develop, update and maintain project plan and other project documentation.
* Manage, lead project team in, project activities including analysis, design and development, testing, training, implementation and post implementation.
* Assign tasks, provide guidance, mentor project team.
* Plan and direct schedules to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
* Analyze and facilitate resolution of issues; carefully controls change.
* Interact with necessary stakeholders/team members to manage project scope and identify, evaluate, communicate, escalate issues.
* Communicate status of project within/across depts.
* Optimize results through highly effective communications.
* May be enlisted to assist in gathering portfolio data, preparing presentations, completing data analysis, or other ad hoc tasks to contribute to the overall vertical or enterprise portfolio.
* Communicate with IT leadership, business leadership and IT Business Consultants to communicate program or project strategy, direction and changes.
* Communicate status of project within/across depts.
* Optimize results through highly effective communications.
* Review and refine requirements
* Guide SMEs through discussions about requirements gaps or future states
* Review requirements and build or assess initial test plans


* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required, preferably in IT Project Management.
* PMP (or comparable PM certification).
* 10+ years' IT experience of which is required 7+ years' project management experience.
* Budget management: consistently maintains and uses project budget and actuals tracking to ensure costs are maintained within the specified tolerance level, and can train others in these skills.
* Impact analysis: consistently able to assess impact for, with minimal supervision, each project aspect and determine if project can expand or not to address new idea, and can train others.
* Project planning: consistently able to independently translate functional requirements into project plans, and can train others.
* Project implementation: consistently able to effectively implement all project phases, and can train others.
* Project management fundamentals: advanced knowledge of schedule, risk management, issues management, leadership, and can train others.
* Documentation: consistently clear, accurate, and can train others.
* Communication: consistently demonstrates advanced clear, articulate, concise; verbal and written.
* Organization/prioritization: consistently utilized and effective over own work.
* Demonstrated effective (intermediate level) use and experience with MS Visio, Project & Excel.
* Leadership skills: extensive demonstrated experience in overall lead role (senior project level, management/direction setting experience.
* Problem analysis and solving skills: consistently applied within project management environment.
* Matrix management skills: demonstrated experience.
* Extensive demonstrated experience incorporating software development life cycle into project plan.
* General knowledge of IT applications and infrastructure environment.
* Demonstrated experience at maintaining forward progress despite conflicting priorities and competition for resources.
