Job Summary

SHI is looking for a Project Manager - Corp in our Corp Advanced Solutions department to manage professional services engagements delivered by SHI & our partner network. This individual would work closely with the SHI Account team, customer, and technical resources to ensure project success.

This position is required to report to the SHI ATX office.

Responsibilities/Job Function

* Proactively manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale projects from beginning to end, including client interaction and expectations
* Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues and devise contingency plans
* Plan, schedule and track project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools
* Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support client contracts
* Effectively communicate project expectations to project resources and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
* Provide leadership, guidance and resolution in responding to project related issues
* Manage documentation and billing through project management platform

Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required

Experience and Education:

* 4 year Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
* 1 year minimum working experience with information technology or information systems project management experience in the private or public sector

Knowledge of:

* Sound understanding of project management principles
* Basic understanding of requirements definition, work breakdown structures, scheduling, planning, business process analysis, project change control
* Familiarity with
* Project process models, including SCRUM and Agile
* Vendor and contract management practices
* Software development practices
* Infrastructure/IT operations practices



Skilled in:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Relationship building for project teams, business partners, etc.
* Negotiation skills
* Conflict management techniques
* Meeting facilitation techniques
* Project performance tracking with respect to baseline budget and schedule
* Conducting status meetings, generating detailed notes and status reports
* Analyzing the impact of scope changes on budget and schedule
* Effective use of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word and OneNote

Ability to:

* Assess the situation and adapt approach for best efficiency and effectiveness
* Easily interact with different personalities, including highly technical personnel and business leaders in a professional and courteous manner
* Recognize and balance the tactical and strategic success of a project
* Adapt to changes in project schedules and workload
* Communicate clearly with stakeholders
* Negotiate effectively
* Successfully execute change request process
* Be coachable and accept direction
* Work independently and in a group setting, assisting other team members when needed
