Job Description

Project Manager Consultant (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, Massachusetts): The Global Technology Services (IT) CAO team seeks a skilled candidate who can successfully lead and execute strategic initiatives to create significant value for the organization. This is an internal consulting and program/project management role. Responsibilities include: Defining and implementing communication strategy independently and in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders; performing strategic planning, project management, execution, and communication; facilitating working sessions of medium to large sized groups across all levels of the organization; executing projects autonomously with minimal guidance/oversight; leveraging motivation to acquire new skills and knowledge quickly; developing requests for information and templates in a clear and concise manner to ensure effective data gathering and analysis; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing multiple tasks; effective strategic analysis and operational execution; providing regular status updates, identifies risks/issues, and develops recommended mitigation approaches to manager; conducting strategic research on client, industry, and technical matters and provide summary on insights, trends, and benchmarks; managing multiple projects and teams concurrently, including extensive hands-on experience developing analysis in R, Tableau, Qlikview, Spotfire, Power BI, or similar toolsets; and effective advocacy of analytical position facilitates challenge and debate as part of the refinement process.

Minimum requirements are: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or its equivalent plus 7 years of relevant career experience.

Must have: Demonstrated solid experience defining and refining operational processes to meet evolving requirements; ability to collaborate and contribute effectively in a team environment and to build strong relationships with team members, including virtual (distributed and indirect) teams; creativity and innovation with strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to frame complex problems and develop recommended solutions; quantitative and analytical skills and ability to analyze large and complex datasets and develop relevant metrics and reporting quickly and accurately; proficiency with financial and accounting principles, analysis, and reporting; solid ability developing analysis in R, Tableau, Qlikview, Spotfire, Power BI, or similar toolsets, analyzing datasets, identifying key themes, and producing effective figures and analysis on an independent basis; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently in an independent manner; ability to work well with colleagues in a team environment and the ability to manage stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including senior management; solid ability to define and implement communication strategies, with mastery of both written and oral form, and be able to negotiate and handle difficult situations effectively; solid ability with analytical problem-solving and decision-making and comfort in defining and implementing data driven decision making processes; and highly experienced in written communications (e.g. PPT) and skilled in developing executive-level presentations.
