Project Manager

Key Role:

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. Work as a project manager with a broad skillset heavy on managerial and administrative duties, including vertical project management. Provide vendor management, including guidance and assistance with the VA Veteran-focused Integration Process (VIP), VIP Request (VIPR) process, Release Readiness process, and the VA Office of Information Technology (OIT) deployment process. Manage stakeholder communications, organize recurring meetings, maintain agenda, post minutes, track action items and issues, and provide general facilitation across 4 projects in the program. Provide detailed status reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

* Experience with managing IT-related projects
* Experience with life cycle and project management methodologies
* Experience with tracking costs, schedule, and performance progress
* Ability to identify and mitigate risks
* BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, Systems, Business, or a related scientific or technical field and 10 years of professional experience or 18 years of professional experience may be substituted for degree requirements required

Additional Qualifications:

* Experience in the VA
* Experience with developing client-facing deliverables in Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, and Word
* Experience with Rational Team Concert
* Experience with software deployment
* Experience with meeting facilitation
* Knowledge of Veteran-focused Integration Process (VIP)
* Knowledge of Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA)
* BA or BS degree
