CISP helps organizations, regions, and countries achieve long-term economic and social impact through effective investments in science, technology, and innovation. Based in Arlington, VA, the Center is staffed with experienced professionals who conduct research, analysis, program evaluation, and strategic planning for private and public-sector clients around the world.

This position is to support a federal client full-time on site in Alexandria, VA. The position will support the federal government client leadership and will implement project management principles through support for the leadership. This work will enable the client's important work on the science and technology ecosystem by managing multiple projects and balancing stakeholder needs.

The Project Manager will have the following responsibilities as well as related tasks:

* Coordinate cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.
* Present milestone/deliverables to senior staff
* Support updates to project management governance
* Support development of a multi-year roadmap outlining key work streams, milestones, and dependencies critical to success
* Review, confirm, and report schedule variances and resource capacity variances
* Define and track performance metrics
* Update schedules and produce reports from Microsoft Project
* Manage multiple projects while balancing stakeholders needs
* Maintain project calendar
* Coordinate and arrange meetings, conferences, and seminars as necessary
* Update standard operating procedures
* Assist in client outreach activities


* Coordinate client request with SRI staff

Qualifications

* BS/BA in an applicable field
* Proven experience in managing multiple projects and balancing stakeholders needs, preferably in or with the federal government
* Solid understanding and use of project management principles
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
* Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
* Proficient with Microsoft Project
