Job Description

ASRC Federal Space and Defense brings a 14-year history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies. ASRC Federal Space and Defense provides these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets. We are currently seeking a Project Manager to support our Blossom Point Tracking Facility (BPTF) Contract.

Job Description:

The Project Manager (PM) will plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of the project(s) assigned. They will be expected to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Team Members at all organizational levels and proactively work with a variety of customers to gather and analyze technical requirements and develop technical solutions. The PM will create and develop presentations and reports for senior management and will be responsible to develop and/or assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Process Flows, and documents relating to policy and procedures. The PM is expected to utilize best practices and techniques for addressing customer concerns and actively respond to requests, questions, or comments concerning the team and assigned responsibilities.

Requirements:

* 4 year college/university degree, or 10 years of equivalent work experience.
* 5 or more years working as a PM and successfully managing projects to closure.
* Strong communications and customer facing skills especially with senior leadership.
* Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.
* Proactively communicate with customers and team members to anticipate and solve problems.
* Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
* Superior project management and time management skills.
* Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, Project and Visio.
* Department of Defense (DoD), and preferably Navy work experience
* Knowledge of satellite ground systems to include RF, crypto equipment and networks
* Comfortable in briefing and communicating with senior government managers and with consultant SMEs.
* PMP Certification (desired)
* Ability to develop plans in Microsoft Project and track key cost, schedule, and performance parameters. (desired)

Security Clearance:

* Must have an active Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
