Project Manager

JOB PURPOSE - WHAT MY ROLE IS WITHIN THE COMPANY

HighPoint has an opening for a Project Manager to provide leadership, supervision and management of a contractor team for complex application system. The candidate must have experience working in an agile environment. The qualifying candidate will possess proven experience in conceptual and communication skills, adept at making presentations for senior client executives, be able to perform independently and in a team environment, have the capability to respond to critical situations, and work to facilitate tasks and process improvement across functional and technical teams. The candidate should also possess a proficient grasp of project management best practices; experience developing and managing schedules and identifying and tracking risks. The position will require an assessment of the organization, identification of approaches, and the ability to both prioritize and advocate the necessary changes.

EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Information Technology / Computer Science or related field
* 5+ years IT experience
* At least 5 years management experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

* PMP certification is required
* CSM Certification or Agile training required
* Managed in an Agile organization is a plus
* Must be a US Citizen

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure team members work collaboratively with all level of government clients
* Ensure all deliverables are of the highest quality and meets the established schedule, cost and performance metrics.
* Responsible for enhanced client user satisfaction of mission critical business processes and services
* Responsible for the hiring and allocation of personnel resources for the project.
* Responsible for the scheduling of project work and submittal of contract deliverables to include the preparation and delivery of the customer's technical status reports.
