BASIC FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for enterprise program and project coordination and support of departmental activities. This position is responsible for assisting Senior Managers, program managers or multiple project managers to assure all project deliverables and other work produced timely and in accordance with established protocols and procedures. This position will support program manager or project managers by independently creating project artifacts and support project management processes and to provide subject matter expertise on systems development life cycles and project management processes and tools.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The resolution of issues including escalation to the project manager as required; creating project schedules, coordinating project team meetings and capturing meeting minutes, and helping to maintain and update project documentation and project status; providing planning, tracking, and general project support to project and program teams; developing and maintaining relationships with project team members to obtain project objectives while working in a matrix project environment; providing ad-hoc support to program / project leaders as required; and a basic understanding of systems development life cycles and project management tools and processes.

Required Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor Degree with 1 year experience OR Technical Certification or College Courses with 2 years experience OR 3 years experience.
* Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies (i.e. Project Management Institute * PMBOK) and the fundamentals of project management processes, tools, and procedures. Experience in facilitation skills, and strong verbal and written communications skills. Ability to multi-task and balance multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
* Basic knowledge and some experience with Microsoft Office tools.
* Understanding of how to develop integrated, milestone-driven critical path project plans. Take ownership and accountability for outcomes, and drives for results. Structured, organized and methodical in execution, with strong attention to detail. Ability to develop trusted relationships, good interpersonal skills. Agility and flexibility to adapt to constantly changing priorities. Work independently and collaborates well within a team environment; able to manage in a matrix organization. Regular in-person attendance at the designated facility of the job posting.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

* Health care industry experience.
* Confidence in taking on new assignments.
* Experience in planning and scheduling / coordinating meetings and / or events.
* Experience writing and distributing meeting agendas and documenting meeting outcomes.
* Understanding of project financial tracking including monitoring and reporting on budget expenditures.
* Understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Experience with the entire software development lifecycle from inception to development to testing to production deployment and maintenance
* Deep understanding of HCSC delivery models * OWF, Scrum, XPKnowledge of Clarity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Assist with the development of program and project plans which include: Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Organization and Communication, Staffing, Risk and Issue Management. Assist with obtaining commitment to the plan by working independently and directly with project stakeholders.
* Assist with managing program and project work within the stated scope. Assist with implementing and managing Scope Change Control processes and updating project plans based on approved changes.
* Monitor actual project hours and costs against the project estimates and budget. Assist with managing the variance.
* Provide support and coordination for risk and issue management.
* Create program and project related presentations and documentation using MS Office.
* Responsible for and initiates, schedules, facilitates, and documents program and project team meetings as required, includes overseeing the preparation of meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
* Gather and document relevant program and multiple project interdependencies and information.
* Assist in the ongoing management of the project schedule.
* Develop program and or complex project status reports.
* Support the project close-out and lessons learned activities.
* Coordinate the resolution of all program and project issues.
* Act as a mentor during orientation and development of new project coordination staff.
* Understand, follow and contribute to the improvement of the project management standards and guidelines developed by the EPPO.
* Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
* Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
* Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
* Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
* Drive project deliverables to completion, (i.e. schedule, RAID LOG, resources management and/or small meetings) on behalf of project/program manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor Degree with 2 years of Project Coordination experience OR Technical Certification or College Courses with 3 years' experience OR 4 years experience.
* Experience with Project Management Methodologies (i.e. Project Management Institute - PMBOK) and tools.
* Experience in facilitation skills, both verbal and written communication at multiple management levels of an organization.
* Work independently and within a team environment.
* Able to balance multiple task simultaneously.
* Analytical skills and effective problem solving skills.
* Knowledge of MS Office tools.
* Knowledge in the fundamentals and proficiency of project management processes, tools, and procedures.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Health care industry experience and HCSC experience.
* Comfort / poise with senior management.
* Experience in planning and scheduling / coordinating meetings and / or event.
* Experience developing meeting agendas and guiding audience to achieve meeting objectives.
* Understanding of project financial tracking including monitoring and reporting on budget expenditures.
* Working knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Experience with Lotus Notes.
