The Engineering and Technology (E&T) Workforce Development Senior Manager is responsible for implementing and sustaining programs and initiatives that enable our technical workforce now and in the future. The selected candidate will set the strategy for ensuring that the E&T functions have employees with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to grow and sustain our Aeronautics' business.
The selected candidate will lead a team of workforce development professionals who are responsible for E&T's strategic implementation of competency management, employee engagement and development, technical training management, technical talent development programs, and engineering talent pipeline initiatives (college and intern programs). This innovative leader will oversee the strategy development for E&T's technical development programs in collaboration with the LM Fellow's Program Manager (PM), the Engineering Leadership Development Program PM, and the Advanced Technical Leadership Program PM to ensure that these programs are in alignment with the overall E&T strategy and business needs. This Senior Manager will have ultimate responsibility for partnering with the Competency Assurance Responsible Engineers (CARES) in the functions to identify and mitigate gaps in E&T critical skills/roles. The roles/skills will be identified and actioned on a yearly basis to ensure that Aeronautics has the E&T bench strength and skill/role proficiency needed to support current and future business needs.
