Job Description

Insurance Auto Auctions is searching for a Scrum Master to join the team at our corporate headquarters in Westchester, IL

Founded in 1982, Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. is one of the leading North American salvage auto auctions. We have exclusive focus on the automotive total-loss industry and over 150 corporate owned facilities across the United States and Canada. We provide Sellers and Buyers with the best solution to process and acquire total-loss, recovered-theft, fleet lease, dealer trade-in and collision damaged rental vehicles.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to the following):

* Collaborate as needed with multiple teams in translating the product vision/roadmap into a workable plan.
* Conduct or oversee Agile Scrum ceremonies, which include sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and innovation planning.
* Provide visibility into team progress, impediments, project health and budgets through Lean information radiators.
* Responsible for facilitating the removal of impediments via direct ownership, coaching team ownership, or driving outside resources.
* Accountable for the generation of statements of work (SOW), including budget, delivery expectations, project change requests and project closures.
* Track and report progress, risks and issues for each SOW specifically in the areas of burn downs, budget, forecast, delivery on commitments; complete SOW change requests and closures in a timely manner (including burn down).
* Review updates by the team in team tool and time entry system weekly to ensure accuracy.
* Drive relentless data driven continuous improvement to enable the highest sustainable output and demonstrate progress toward goals.
* Leads and serves the scrum team in Agile Scrum process execution such as planning, estimating, prioritizing, and collaborating, as well as meeting their objectives.
* Empower the team to self-organize within the guardrails of our methodology while fostering healthy and engaging team environments.
* Assist with demos, training and rollout communications.
* Assist with incident triage, prioritization and realignment.
* Assist team in managing and organizing the Backlog to assure priorities and ownership are clear.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

* Servant Leader.
* Demonstrated knowledge of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
* Lean thinking and principles.
* Experience with Kanban and Scrum methodology.
* Experience with Agile tools (ex. Jira) and Agile reporting.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Well versed in Project management principles.
* Ability to work with teams in multiple sites (onsite, offshore, nearshore).
* Proven ability to meet deadlines.
* Understanding of accountability and ownership.
* Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision, and with other non-technical departments.
* Proven ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines.

Education/Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in either business, technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ Years of Project Management Experience.
* 5+ Years Agile Experience.
* Scrum Master Certification.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
