Job Description

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Specialist, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Los Angeles, CA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Assessing and diagnosing problems analyzing the interactions between key drivers. Defining clear business objectives and desired outcomes to guide own work and the work of others. Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, processing design, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Performing conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques. Tracking application defects using defect tracking tools, coordinating defect resolution efforts, and documenting resolution details. Conducting executive business support by tracking business and providing technical support and Data assistance using tools BMC Remedy, DB2 Query Monitor, Spufi and SQL Server. Analyzing and identify improvements for batch job performance issues by looking batch job logs and history using SDSF, SAR, BMC Apptune, and DB2 performance monitor tools. Performing batch job setups and scheduling changes in jobtrac and messaging queue using MQAPPS, CA7 scheduler and CTM. Performing root-cause analysis and prevention plan for batch job abends, online abends and using different code analysis, abend monitoring and debugging tools Diagram trace facility, IBM Tool, Fault analyzer, and Microfocus. Development of JCL and PROC's for the conversion of report language from FOCUS to SAS using SAS, DB2, JCL and REXX.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree.


* Two years of experience as a Project Delivery Specialist, IT Analyst, or a related occupation.


* Must have two years of experience with:
* Conducting executive business support by tracking business and providing technical support and Data assistance using tools BMC Remedy, DB2 Query Monitor, Spufi and SQL Server;


* Analyzing and identify improvements for batch job performance issues by looking batch job logs and history using SDSF, SAR, BMC Apptune, and DB2 performance monitor tools;


* Performing batch job setups and scheduling changes in jobtrac and messaging queue using MQAPPS, CA7 scheduler and CTM;


* Performing root-cause analysis and prevention plan for batch job abends, online abends and using different code analysis, abend monitoring and debugging tools Diagram trace facility, IBM Tool, Fault analyzer, and Microfocus;
