Job Summary
The Buildings and Places (B+P) Business Unit is seeking applicants for a Portfolio Delivery Lead (PDL). The PDL will report directly to the Director of Operations (DOO), and will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of project managers and projects in the B+P, growing the commercial acumen project delivery and project management capabilities of the teams, and acting as a project performance analyst supporting the DOO in project delivery, risk management, commercial terms evaluation, and budgeting and forecasting.
Primary responsibilities for this role include:
Support the DOO in the day-to-day operation of the sub-business unit, including project delivery performance, pricing strategies, risk management, forecasting and budgeting, and performance reporting Provide interpretation of monthly performance figures to support the business line in overall sub-business unit management and the project managers to resolve project issues and improve project performance Direct, support and supervise project management staff to ensure timely, effective, and efficient performance of project managers' responsibilities Identify and help to close capability gaps among project management staff, providing valuable team management and talent development support to foster career growth and required skills of project managers In coordination with the practice disciplines, assign projects and pursuit efforts to project managers within the sub-BU Manage and review individual performance of project managers within the business line. Evaluate project management compliance with risk management policies and procedures and PM requirements including AECOM and Industry best practices. Review and approve proposal and project scopes, schedules, and budgets Assist in developing and reviewing proposal pricing to support sub-BU objectives and individual bid pricing strategies and support the client service/business development staff on key pursuits (e.g., evaluation of terms and conditions, commercial risk, and competitive advantage)
Promote risk management practice within the project management function and develop PM risk competencies, including a strong contractual understanding among project managers of how AECOM manages risk and contingencies Conduct regular project review meetings with project managers to monitor project-level performance, budget, schedule, risk, and quality management Drive consistent project management practices and project delivery procedures in alignment with AECOM PM requirements Lead and be accountable for the require monthly project management processes including EACs and project reviews Serve as a project manager for a sub-set of projects within the sub-BU, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk in compliance.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree
* 12 years of related experience including 4 years of leadership
