Job Description

The Global IT Management team is responsible for business management and governance across the global technology organization. The IT Business Analyst role on this team is responsible for supporting a variety of team initiatives, analyzing operational needs, gathering requirements and developing action plans to accomplish the specific goals of the team. The role involves working closely with IT division heads on PMO and governance activities and initiatives. This role will initially focus on the implementation of an enterprise wide PMO management and reporting tool.

The Business Analyst is responsible for other Global IT initiatives including:

* Organizing, tracking and all around supporting Projects and Project Managers in a global IT environment
* Preparation of project status reporting and senior management presentations
* Assisting in the planning and coordination of Global Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery activities
* Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing general support of IT budgeting and planning
* Interfacing with Internal Audit

The ideal candidate will have:

* 5+ years in the IT organization of an Asset Management or Investment Banking financial services firm
* 3+ years as a business analyst
* BCP or DR experience would be a plus
* Experience working in a PMO or similar project coordination experience (must understand the life cycle of a technology project)
* Experience working with end-users and technology staff developing requirements for system design and implementation
* Advanced MS Excel skills; working knowledge of SQL and the ability to modify queries would be a plus
* Excellent communication skills - articulate, personable, good listener - and excellent writing skills
* The ability to manage multiple, unrelated, initiatives at the same time and be highly detail oriented
* The ability to work in a demanding environment with limited direction i.e., must be a self-starter
* The ability to collaborate as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities as required
