About The Job

This job is a member of the HRIT Application Support and Development team which is part of the People Technology Department. The Developer's role will work closely with our project managers, product owners, business leaders, and development team members to deliver application support and business automation solutions for departments within American Airlines. The development team is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining IT applications, as well as customization and integration of 3rd party software. Key technologies include SuccessFactors HCM suite of applications (Employee Central, Recruitment Management, Onboarding, PM/GM, and Compensation), Dell Boomi Atmosphere, SAP Cloud Platform, database technologies, and network connectivity standards.

Specifically, this role will be responsible for the following:

* Configure, deploy, conduct quality assurance testing, debug/refactor, and document technology solutions
* Support, maintain, and administer deployed solutions
* Ensure security of all data and technology solutions
* Formulate plan outlining steps required to configure module using structured analysis and design
* Analyze, review, and configure modules to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
* Prepare and document requirements, testing, and other related solution artifacts according to enterprise standards

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
* 1 year of SuccessFactors HCM suite experience
* 2 years of Dell Boomi process configuration, testing, and deployment
* 3 years of experience defining, analyzing, a documenting user requirements
* Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM
* Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
* Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently

Preferred Qualifications

* 5+ years of SuccessFactors HCM suite experience
* 5+ years of Dell Boomi process configuration, testing, and deployment
* 5+ years of application support experience
* Experience with SAP ECC technologies
* Experience with SAP Cloud Platform technologies and Cloud Platform Integration
* Airline Industry experience
* Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills
* Experience with Test Driven Development
* Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
