Job Description

The programmer's first responsibility will be to perform the coding necessary to develop and analyze simulation models of disease to evaluate various screening and management strategies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performing data analysis using R or SAS
* Applying statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing and survival analysis
* Managing national representative datasets
* Working with the research team on various health outcomes project in constructing simulation models and perform cost-effectiveness analysis
* May participate in scientific manuscript preparation/writing
* Potential to contribute to and co-author medical articles/publications
* Supporting the preparations of grant applications and reports

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

* Programming experience or facility in a statistical programming language such as SAS or R is required.
* Extensive research experience is not formally required but preferred.
* Critical thinking and creative problem solver who enjoys autonomy

Field of Study/Additional Specialized Training: Master's degree required (statistics/biostatistics or epidemiology degree preferred)

Preferred: 1 year of experience in programming or quantitative analysis
