JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC is seeking a Senior Manager at our Washington, DC location to support to the Program Executive Office Submarines (PEO SUB) Program Offices by performing programmatic and logistics functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Support the overall planning, direction and success of technical programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives that supports PEO SUB support of the warfighter.
* Manage large, multi-year efforts programs and tasks that support the developing and sustaining undersea weapons program.
* Responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long range plans.
* Establish and control technical milestones, schedules, budgets within the technical approach to systems and weapons development.
* Perform technical and engineering management functions to technically support development of new and existing Naval capabilities and systems.
* Support management of technical resources, technical data, and manpower and personnel.
* Prepare and implements directives to ensure effective engineering technical support, and establishes and enforces standards to ensure the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped.
* Develop formal correspondence and reports.

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement:

* Active secret security clearance or the ability to obtain

Required Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's level degree in any technical or managerial discipline.
* 15 years professional experience including program/project management.

Desired:

* 10 or more years of experience with Navy acquisition and/or In-Service Programs. Knowledge of Program Management, including the acquisition process, execution of Gate/Milestone Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), and Production Reviews.
* Knowledge of the budgeting process and financial tracking Earned Value Management (EVM) and other metrics), funding execution, and the contracting process.
