Job Description

Facebook is seeking a Program Manager, Edge and Network, with web and enterprise infrastructure environment experience. The projects will support the Infrastructure Engineering organization whose responsibilities include the Networking, Data Center Design, Construction, and 24x7 upkeep of the Facebook. This is a full-time position based in our Menlo Park office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage cross-functional site infrastructure projects in a matrix organization covering a range of areas (data center, edge network (PoPs and similar), hardware systems, capacity management).



Develop and manage end‑to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery.

Provide hands-on project management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.

Perform risk management and change management on projects.

Provide day‑to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks.

Manage dependencies and handoffs effectively and optimize schedules accordingly.

Influence internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.

Interface with Engineering, Facilities, Electrical/Mechanical Engineers, software engineers and business owners for project requirements and scope.

Participate in business process re-engineering reviews to innovate on business processes and define ways to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.

Contribute to continual improvement of cost productivity.

Help identify areas of risk and assist with mitigation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, systems engineering, electrical engineering, business or a related field or equivalent experience.



3+ years of Data Center or Network deployment experience in a project management or equivalent.

Communication experience.

Track record of delivering projects on or ahead of schedule and on budget.

Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational experience.

Experienced executing multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously.

Experienced collaborating with different individuals across external organizations, within other geographies, and a "hands-on" approach in order to accomplish all necessary tasks.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience with managing projects related to data center roll-outs, hardware deployments and capacity management.



Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Juniper JNCIA or the equivalent.

Project/product management experience in scalable, enterprise tooling initiatives, defining roadmaps and translating strategic initiatives into tactical, objective programs.
