Position Overview

We're seeking an energetic, ambitious, and motivated Program Manager who is a master of managing digital projects, teams, and deliverables. The Program Manager will be managing key projects for large well-known clients, such as Ford, BBC, Time Inc., Gannett and others.

As a Program Manager you will own the client relationships and delivery of a portfolio of projects. In addition, you will be expected to participate in the sales process of custom solutions and to collaborate with other PMO members in our mission to make our clients successful.

Program Managers orchestrate and lead client projects using a variety of methodologies and tools. Program Managers shape client engagements by defining scope and effort then lead the project team to successful delivery against the plan. Program Managers manage the client relationship at the senior level and have a high-level of commitment to client success.

Job Responsibilities

* Selection of methodology and milestone delivery mechanism per project in collaboration with development team
* Risk Assessment, tracking, and mitigation planning
* Scope and Budget control, change order management
* Client roadmap workshops and requirements gathering
* Program charter and governance, establishing roles and responsibilities for all parties per engagement
* Coordination and collaboration among internal stakeholders across Brightcove
* Communications planning and enforcement
* Regular status reporting
* Working directly with internal and third-party development teams to deliver projects
* Clear work-stream and task management through project lifecycle
* Continuous expectation setting and cohesion building across all parties
* Accountable for contractual and commercial obligations
* Participation in the continuous improvement of our PMO tools, messaging, and team morale.
* Mentoring Project and Senior Project Managers through growth targets

Qualifications/Experience

* 8+ years experience on technical project teams or professional services teams in support or delivery-related roles; 5+ years in project leadership roles
* Experience in planning, organizing, and executing projects of varying complexity, delivering them within specified timeframes and budgets
* Ability to define and deliver to objective measures of complex programs and experience in tracking and assessing projects based on project plans, budgets and resources
* Experienced in sales processes, and ability to facilitate requirements definition and gap analysis
* Specific experience in Statement of Work creation and Change Order management
* Familiarity with a variety of methodologies from Agile to Iterative to Waterfall
* Experience and ability to manage clients, 3rd party vendors, and developers dispersed geographically, specifically with EMEA and APAC
* Experience managing large scale programs with multiple parties ($1MM+ budget)
* Experience managing application development projects
* Ability to manage multiple small to medium projects at once
* Strong prioritization and communication skills
* Ability to travel about twice a quarter domestically and internationally
* Extensive understanding of Fixed Price project planning and delivery is a plus
* Digital or Video industry landscape expertise (OTT, AVOD, SVOD, etc.) a plus, but not required
* Exposure or hands-on knowledge of the Brightcove products and ecosystem a plus, but not required
