About Amazon

Job Description

At Amazon, we strive to be Earth's most customer-centric company where people can find and discover anything they want to buy online. We hire the world's brightest minds and offer them an environment where they can relentlessly innovate for our customers. As a member of our Global IT organization, you will have an opportunity to make a valuable contribution to that goal.

Amazon has an immediate opening for a Program Manager III in our Amazon corporate office in Seattle. The Program Manager III delivers complex medium to large scale projects from initiation through delivery. Your focus is on cross-functional projects that serve major parts of the business, are business critical, and may be global in nature. You may lead other program managers for large projects and recommend improvements in the way projects are scoped, tested, and deployed across the company. This will require you to communicate across departments as an authority on project issues to business managers, engineers, and executives. You will also support critical relationships with customers, and negotiate agreements with suppliers or other external partners.

As the Program Manager III, you will collaborate with technical and business team members to create products/features or processes. You are the primary escalation point for project team members. You understand the program's customers and advocate on their behalf, communicating business objectives to team and stakeholders to deliver the best product/feature or system/process with most efficient use of resources and technologies. You manage the creation of product/feature prototypes. You will write clear and detailed functional specifications based on complex business requirements, and serve as an authority on project issues to business managers, engineers, and other program managers.

At Amazon, it is always Day 1. We are looking for team members who are passionate about learning and applying new technology every day. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications in their past experience:
