Position Description:

The Program Manager directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost; schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals; business plans; proposal work statements and specifications; operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities; leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost; schedule; and technical performance. Establishes design concepts; criteria and engineering efforts for product research; development; integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules; identifies program problems and obtains solutions such as the allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

May coordinate proposal preparation, statements of work, and specifications for both prime and subcontractors, estimation of product/service costs, negotiation and administration of contracts.

Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others.

Establishes program plans with associated milestones and manages adherence to program master plans and schedules.

Develops control systems and reports that accurately measure progress, identifies potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken, and ensures the meeting of company's contract commitments.

Works across boundaries and orchestrates actions by directing the performance of program teams and functional task elements such as procurement, manufacturing, quality control, logistics, and administrative functions.

Focuses on the customer, acts as the primary customer contact for performance status, and has the ability to anticipate customer needs to ensure their satisfaction and continued business.

Bachelor Degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

* Must be self-motivated.


* Must be able to manage all financial aspects of a large government contract.


* Knowledge of manufacturing, procurement, and engineering processes preferred.


* Must be able to work closely with the customer to meet their expectations while controlling contract scope, schedule, and cost.


* Should be articulate and clearly present information to a large group or to an individual.


* Candidate should be able to multitask and coordinate all internal and external demands.


* Experience with SAP desired.


* Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.



Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
