Job Description:

The BlackBerry Professional Services Developer Consultant is a full time resource, focused on enhancing our enterprise customer's BlackBerry Software Platform deployment. A hybrid of Consultant and Software Developer, this customer facing role requires the individual to work with our customers and field sales teams to understand specific enterprise business needs and then develop and deliver solutions from a software development standpoint.

Responsibilities:

* Scope and deliver BlackBerry Software Platform extensions. These extensions could involve, but not be limited to:
* BlackBerry Secure SDK sample code and consulting,
* Custom web interfaces accessing core BlackBerry Software Platform servers via web services
* Custom utilities for BlackBerry Software Platform user migration, on-boarding, and reporting


* Provide development estimates to be used for costing of Professional Services Statements of Work
* Handling customer calls, debugging issues and providing quick turnaround for reported issues. Individual must be comfortable working with customers and have great communication and technical writing skills.
* Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve technical issues and research additional solutions
* Work with external developer and technical partners to provide guidance on BlackBerry Software Platform software extensions and best practices.
* Coordinating customer deployment configuration and Professional Services development delivery logistics
* Modification and delivery of BlackBerry Dynamics SDK training content. Potentially onsite at customer training.
* Creative problem solving skills and a strong work ethic

Basic Qualifications:

* Experience with object oriented software development using:
* Java to create and maintain Java Servlets/Applications
* .Net to create and maintain Custom portals/Applications
* Objective-C and Swift to create iOS apps (Preferred)
* Java to create Android apps (Preferred)
* Cordova to create Android and iOS apps (Preferred)
* Xamarin/Visual Studio to create Android and iOS apps (Preferred)
* HTML5 (Preferred)
* JavaScript (Required)
* CSS (Preferred)
* XML (Required)
* JSON (Required)
* SOAP and REST-based web services (Required)
* Objective-C (or C++) (Preferred)
* Swift (Required)
* Java (Required)
* Unix commands (Preferred)

Educational Requirements

Bachelors of Science in Computing (or comparable experience)
