Overall Purpose
This position supports production applications, customer implementations to Early Warning products, and provides level 2 application support. May support data movement with internal and external sources, and provide on-call support for level 1 and level 2 escalation issues related to connectivity.
Essential Functions
* Analyze business problems, recommend solutions, and resolve operational or systems issues.
* Provide on-call support to Operations for "level 1 and level 2" escalation issues ensuring all required details are updated in the ticketing application.
* Maintain documentation of operational processes and policies to conform to audit requirements (in some positions, includes the client connection diagrams and all supporting client approvals.)
* Support and conduct client implementation testing related to new and existing clients and complete trouble-shooting with client.
* Validate and report SLA measurements monthly
* Participate in annual Disaster Recovery functional drills and full scale tests
* For Early Warning Application support focused position:
* Review new product features and learn any operational support changes that must be documented and implemented
* Assist in scheduled maintenance events that require application support on production systems
* Utilize special database interface according to documented processes to perform ad hoc queries for Client Operations, Data Analytics, or Account Management
* Perform application configuration setups and modifications according to policy and documented audit controls
* For Telco/Transmissions-focused position:
* Manage client implementations related to external connectivity needs such as telecom, SSL certs, networking, and transmissions.
* Create all necessary network connectivity requests such as telco setups, firewall requests, etc.
* Follow transmission templates for automated file transfers between clients and production systems.
* Support administration of File Transmission software applications, configuration files and various system components that support the movement and management of file deliveries.
* Work with all other Early Warning departments to perform ad hoc, or to automate ongoing, file transfers between various production systems.
* Complies with all security policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of integrity relative to data protection, confidential and sensitive information, and security within the workplace.
Minimum Qualifications
* Application Support focused:
* Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems with experience supporting users and an ability to relate business needs to system capability OR Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business with bank processing experience
* Telco/Transmissions-focused:
* Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems with experience supporting users and an ability to relate business needs to system capability OR Education and experience typically obtained through completion of various technology certifications in systems and networking
* Computer operations experience with knowledge of networking and distributed systems coupled with the ability to apply this toward business operations OR experience with solid technology capabilities and a comfort level with applications and batch jobs.
* Knowledge of telecom/network functions and transmission protocols such as, TCP/IP, SFTP or Connect:Direct, Cisco or Juniper networks.
* All positions:
* Knowledge and experience supporting batch and online processing systems for Payments or Identity validation
* Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL, MS Office, MS Access, Visio
* Ability to research and quickly resolve highly technical system and application issues.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and policy compliance.
* Prior application support experience in a financial services environment
* Additional related education and/or experience preferred

Physical Requirements
Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
