* Custom fixes for customers. Develop, test, release and support. * Root-Cause Analysis (RCA). Create and present all root-cause analysis documents by working with other teams. * Critical Account Program (CAP). Participate and possibly lead CAPs. CAPs are critical customer situations that require focused technical and management attention in order to resolve as quickly as possible. * Escalation liaison between Technical Support and core Engineering. Manage escalations and priority management between the Technical Support and core Engineering teams. * Limited travel may be required to customer sites and Cloudian offices. 10% time.
* Java development experience. Must have minimum of 1 year of production development experience, including unit testing of own code. "Production" means that the code is in use by external 3rd parties. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to quickly write clean Java code. * Programming experience using external SDKs or libraries. Ideally, this would be something such as building tools using the Amazon AWS SDK. Must be able to describe in deep technical detail what this experience was. * Customer technical support experience. Must have experience working on customer technical issues including writing RCA documents. Must be able to describe your contributions to resolve a specific complex technical support incident. * Ability to write clear technical documents like root-cause analyses. Must be able to provide a sample document that demonstrates your technical writing skill. * Ability to effectively communicate across multiple teams like Technical Support and Development. Must be able to describe a case where you operated in such a cross-functional team.
