About the Role

Working within the LV= Broker Division, you'll be joining an existing team who are responsible for the testing and implementation of all monthly product & pricing updates to broker software house systems across all product lines (Car, Home, Van) along with new product testing and key project involvement.

By having a dynamic and pragmatic approach to workloads you will be acting as a contact point between the Business and software houses. We transmit and receive all of our Personal Lines business via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and although we strive for policy data loading 'straight through' onto our internal systems a requirement of the role will be to investigate and resolve data errors.

A significant part of this role will involve testing support on new and existing broker software house scheme builds. The purpose of this testing is to ensure that the correct product rules and rates are in place. This will involve test script generation, execution, error logging and resolution to ensure that all of our products being sold by our brokers in the market place are working as per requirements.

Another important aspect of this role is to undertake the agency function requirements in order to ensure the smooth process of broker activations and deactivations. This will involve direct contact with our brokers and expert knowledge of the workings of their quote systems.

About You

You will have an understanding of electronic trading with brokers and a good knowledge of EDI messaging plus extensive Personal Lines product knowledge gained either within an insurance company or brokerage and you're probably working in a testing position already.

You'll confidently operate MS office computer packages and be comfortable working with the main Broker software houses and their computer systems. You're organised, analytical and have a keen eye for detail. You have the ability to identify issues, form sound judgements and confidently deal with figures, always ensuring that tasks are seen through to completion. You'll use your strong communication skills to build great relationships with internal colleagues particularly within our Underwriting and Pricing teams, as well as external stakeholders.

You're able to think commercially and always have the customer at the forefront of your mind and your inquisitive nature means you constantly seek ways to improve the customer proposition.

The Details

You will need to:

* Act as a key contact point between the Business and software house suppliers.
* Responsibility for the implementation and testing of all monthly product & pricing updates to Broker and Software House systems.
* Take responsibility for the implementation and testing of all monthly product & pricing changes and error corrections to the LV=Broker internal system for personal line products.
* Take responsibility for investigating and reporting on product and rating discrepancies between broker systems and internal LV= Broker platforms.
* Take responsibility for testing and signing off the product and rating rules for new developments.
* Support the Agency function requirements to ensure the smooth process of software house activations.
* Support Broker projects

This is for a full time role working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
