Job Description



This Product Manager position is an integral member of the Filmed Entertainment technology, Home Entertainment IT team responsible for supporting the Digital Distribution teams of the Home Entertainment business.

The primary role of the Product Manager is to act as a liaison between business partners and IT Teams, supporting the solution delivery lifecycle for the suite of Home Entertainment application portfolio under the direction of the Technology Director, Business Engagement.

The Product Manager will join a team consisting of high-performing individuals that execute on a broad range of activities, including elicitation and scoping, requirements analysis, systems analysis, functional architecture, interface architecture, and knowledge management. This role is expected to be proactive and work as part of a team alongside developers, support consultants, IT infrastructure, vendors and different business verticals to adequately support the business and maintain proper alignment.

Responsibilities / Skills

* Act as a business liaison between IT and the Digital Distribution Business community to oversee multiple product roadmaps, with an emphasis on features that aims for improved system experience, automation, and integration
* Perform as the subject matter expert (SME) for the business domain
* Collaborate with cross-functional business leaders, partners, technology stakeholders to solve complex problems with proposed workflows and technical solutions
* Responsible for product stability as primary lead on engagement/escalation for support teams and influential on enabling a sustainable infrastructure including issue analysis, documentation & prioritization, defect management and testing
* Perform root cause analysis and provide next steps for resolution
* Manage development team efforts, sprint planning, testing and product roll out
* Project manage system and solution roll outs and define processes for ongoing operational support
* Independently conduct and drive business requirements and design related discussions and workshops based on business needs and objectives
* Responsible for understanding, reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business partner needs
* Partner with other business units to identify, document and implement integrations to other sources of company data in order to expand visibility of the business across the organization
* Create design specifications using use case format, workflows, wireframes, modeling and related methods as needed
* Create and execute test scripts to support change request and defect verification including user acceptance testing support
* Create training documentation for new system enhancements and conduct user training sessions/demos to support knowledge transfer and user adoption of system updates
* Collaborate with technical teams to provide input on technical solutions and support end to end solution delivery
* Recommends solutions and ensures business needs are met
* Build effective relationships within a matrixed organization with other IT teams and Home Entertainment contacts within business units to support change request solution design & testing
* Lead cross-functional teams and serve as key communication contact with external partners in the assessment, development, integration, and delivery of new interactive applications and platform enhancements
* Interact with key shared services groups within the organization to provide requirements to the development and support team including Salesforce, SAP, Tibco, Analytics, and Data Warehouse
* Participate in change management activities to support the successful business adoption of new IT solutions
* Leverage established NBCU processes, methodologies and associated practices, while carrying out his/her responsibilities.
* Research and evaluate new technology tools to support larger scale system enhancements including but not limited to data visualization tools and data discovery and analysis platforms
* Perform rapid analysis and decomposition of complex business information into technical process components


Minimum of 4 years of solid hands on experience with

Minimum of 5 years of client facing and business systems analysis experience

Minimum of 5 years in application development and SDLC

Strong analytical and problem solving skills able to identify flexible and forward thinking IT solutions

Experience leading the analysis, extracting and documenting business user stories, and testing on projects, system enhancements and defects

Deep understanding of IT project management SDLC processes and agile methodologies

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related fields.

Experience with Salesforce Lightning components

Experience completing assigned tasks on multiple projects with tight deadlines successfully

Experience documenting and executing test cases from user stories and requirements documents.

Experience using defect tracking and change management processes, metrics and tools

Experience enabling customer workflows and operations

Experience managing large, complex initiatives to on-time completion in large matrixed organization

Excellent verbal and written communication skills - comfortable and confident communicating to all levels of the organization, both business and IT

SalesForce Admin Certification

Analytical mind & strong problem-solving capabilities with experience in building business cases, and evolving product strategy based on research, data and industry trends

Proactive, entrepreneurial and strategically oriented individuals with exposure to all stages and aspects of product management

Demonstrated ability to navigate complex environments and work with interdisciplinary teams and effectively communicate priorities, delivery expectations, risks and concerns to senior management

Experience with Media/Entertainment

Experience with Jira and Smartsheet

Experience with user experience and wireframe/mockup creation

Experience with business intelligence and analytical tools

Experience with data architecture, data warehouse and middleware/ETL tools and technologies

Has worked within a project team over multiple geographic / international locations.

Demonstrated track record of developing excellent relationship with key business partners and stakeholders

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, including the ability to multi-task and juggle many competing priorities and deadlines

Ability to work well with other team members

Ability to think creatively to come up with new solutions
