Job Description

Inspirato is hiring a Product Design Manager who is competent in all facets of the design process, exceptionally skilled in translating user research into thoughtful website and app experiences, and passionate about mentoring other designers to achieve professional excellence.

Responsibilities:

* Coach and manage a team of Product Designers
* Own, prioritize, and communicate design priorities and roadmap
* Oversee design team development, organization, assignment, and resource allocation
* Run design team meetings (priorities, grooming, planning)
* Advocate and champion UX process and best practices and educate customers and stakeholders on benefits and value
* Research and analyze industry UX/UI trends and competitor sites and strategies
* Direct ongoing usability testing and assessment
* Work with stakeholders and project teams to deliver user research, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs that solve customer problems and achieve business goals
* Leverage and generate quantitative and qualitative data and turn insights into action
* Provide product success updates to the leadership team by performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of live features and recommend a course of action to improve results
* Improve the ongoing process to drive greater team efficiency
* Ensure all versions of product design documents are complete, current, and archived appropriately

* A well-rounded product design professional who connects the dots between business needs, technological innovation and user understanding
* Team-oriented, constantly collaborating with stakeholders, product managers, and delivery teams to iterate, improve, and deliver results
* Experienced at driving user experience design from soup to nuts that delivers results and connects emotionally
* Obsessed with best-practice user research and can generate and leverage qualitative and quantitative input and turn it into insightful action
* Passionate about understanding (and keeping the team and business informed about) current and emerging UX/UI trends
* Capable of coaching and mentoring junior and senior designers
* Familiar with HTML and CSS design capabilities
* Fluent in responsive design, mobile/tablet, desktop, and native
* Impeccable skills in visual and motion design
* Exceptional verbal communication and comfortable presenting to large groups
* Very strong attention to detail
* Travel industry and agency/consultant experience a plus
* Experience with HTML and CSS and using JIRA?Atlassian tools a plus
* Experience in an agile development environment

Qualifications:

* A strong portfolio of shipped work showing how you take a user-centric approach to solve complex design problems
* 4+ years of professional product design experience
* Proficient using design tools including Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and an eagerness to find and try new tools
* Proficient using prototyping tools such as InVision and Principle
* Proficient in interaction design
* Experience with web technologies including HTML and CSS
* People management experience preferred
* Degree or equivalent experience in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field is preferred
