Job Description

AWS Security is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to provide high-level leadership and ownership for a program in hardware and supply-chain security, to ensure infrastructure supporting highly scaled-out AWS services is designed and implemented to the highest security standards. You will be responsible for supporting a team of engineers and TPMs, helping advise senior leadership and setting strategy and goals for the team, as well as supporting design and helping drive hardware security efforts across AWS. This position will provide you with a challenging opportunity to drive the security of the cutting-edge technology underlying the AWS cloud computing services. As a Principal TPM and senior leader in this role you will be helping identifying functional and technical requirements by collecting inputs from business, security, and technical teams, working across teams at AWS to refine your plans and obtain buy-in, and executing the program, providing status to engineers, Sr. leaders, and Sr. executives on a regular basis

The successful candidate is one who loves working directly with hardware and infrastructure teams to understand their needs, and design security systems and solutions that enable developers to operate more quickly. You are passionate about the security of the cloud and you want to solve real business problems. You will work directly with AWS service teams, infrastructure and administrative teams to identify opportunities to improve AWS' security posture. You can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You are proactive in removing roadblocks, and can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams, be able to effectively rally support for your initiatives and be able to help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals. You are able to handle business escalations with a data-driven approach to build trust with engineers and senior leaders.

You and the teams you support will be responsible for testing AWS services, features, and infrastructure before release and throughout their lifecycle. You will partner closely with other security engineering teams and AWS development and infrastructure teams to produce innovative and secure solutions. You should have a track record of delivering high quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You should know how to prioritize, communicate clearly and compellingly, and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong team. AWS in general, and in particular, operates at very large scale and demands high standards, so a passion and discipline around security and delivery is critical. A high level of ownership and accountability is a must.
