Principal Technology Services Specialist Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversity
An exciting and challenging new opportunity is available in the FCC Technology Services group in the UOP Technical Services department. The Principal Technology Services Specialist is responsible for tracking and ensuring successful FCC Technology, Equipment and Engineering delivery to ensure successful performance of UOP's FCC Technology.
The Technology Services FCC group supports Services, Equipment and Engineering to facilitate successful design, startup as well as resolve technology and unit performance issues. These issues include missed guarantees and unmet customer expectations, usually of process units that are in commissioning or operation. TS FCC group members assist the individuals designated as technical lead and customer contact to define the problem, develop a path forward, access needed resources, coordinate with the customer, and execute the plan. TS FCC group members take part in work processes to preempt and prevent reoccurrence of problems, including corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) and management of change (MOC), and also to notify customers as needed. The Principal Technology Services FCC Specialist is a key role in an expanding team.
Summary of Essential Functions of Jobs/Duties:
* Work with appropriate counterparts in Field Operating Services, Technical Services, Sales, Engineering, Research and Development that will:
a. Fully define & document the issues, implications to the customer, and root causes
b. Understand the terms and corresponding obligations of UOP and customer
c. Serve as the focal point for office-based support of new unit and revamped unit startups from pre-commissioning through guarantee acceptance.
d. Assist with the preparation of operational procedures and troubleshooting guidelines to obtain swift closure of issues.
e. Participate in Engineering review meetings for new units and revamps including Design Basis, PFD, P&ID, MFD, Plot Plans, HAZOP, Model Reviews, and others.
f. Insure that learning's from problems encountered are institutionalized within UOP
g. Successful execution of this position will not only resolve disputes in a manner that corrects any problems outstanding with the technology, but also imbed experience in existing & future programs to eliminate problems and insure customer satisfaction with a positive result.

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
10+ years of experience in UOP Technologies

Broad knowledge of refining, petrochemicals, gas processing and energy industries with specific in depth knowledge of specific technology area

Ability to make informed decisions that are in the best interests of our internal & external customers; taking & supporting calculated risks when they generate a significant improvement to the organization
