Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Solaris/Linux Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Suitland, MD.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

NGCIMSMD

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus 6 years (or a Master's degree in a related field plus 4 years) of experience in Systems Administration; or 10 years of Systems Administration experience without a degree.
* Expertise in administering Oracle/Sun enterprise hardware including Solaris administration and management, performance tuning Oracle/Sun systems, peripherals, products, and supporting related technologies.
* Expertise in installation, patching, and supporting Unix environment

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus 10 years (or a Master's degree in a related field plus 8 years) of experience in Systems Administration; or 14 years of Systems Administration experience without a degree.
* Expertise in administering Oracle/Sun enterprise hardware including Solaris administration and management, performance tuning Oracle/Sun systems, peripherals, products, and supporting related technologies.
* Expertise in installation, patching, and supporting Unix environment.

Security Clearance: Requires Active TS/SCI Clearance

* Ability to evaluate problems analytically and systematically and develop appropriate corrective action.
* Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent customer interface skills.
* Solaris 10/11 administration experience.
* Linux Red Hat administration experience.
* Oracle Weblogic installation and configuration experience.
* Oracle Database installation and configuration experience.
* Oracle ASM experience.
* NetApp experience.
