Description:

SAS IT Engineering Solutions is seeking a project manager/agile specialist for managing and executing internal IT projects with focus on engineering tools and Program Work Environments (PWE's). The ideal candidate will also have the ability to help drive an "agile" organizational transformation. This position will work across the SAS IT Engineering Disciplines and other SAS organizations as well as interfacing with key Enterprise stakeholders. The position will be responsible for executing projects that contribute to meeting overall organizational goals. The selected candidate will be expected to ensure project success while meeting projects schedules and budgets. The candidate will also be responsible for helping to lead and implement agile frameworks and project management methodologies.

Duties include (but are not limited to) the following:

* Tracking and measuring performance and financial metrics for assigned projects
* Partnering with other Mission Areas across SAS as well as Engineering
* Continuous improvement mindset: develop/improve templates for project tracking, estimating
* Promote Project Management principles in the organization and with SAS-IT leaders
* Project Planning

o Develop and maintain an integrated project schedule

o Project impact analysis

o Leading agile teams through 'agile" planning and execution

* Project Estimating and Structuring

o Develop Work breakdown structure

o Perform critical path analysis

o Develop estimates (best case, worst case most likely) with inputs from across the team

o Build a business case supported by estimates and return on investment

o Develop team capacity

* Project Monitoring

o Track and report progress against project plans

o Report project health at internal SAS IT ES project reviews

o Report project status to key stakeholders

o Maintain Master Phasing Schedule and Integrated Master Schedule

o Utilize "agile" metrics to report team progress and manage Work in Process (WIP)

Required Skills:

* Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Project Management or Project Planning
* Minimum 4 years of experience IT and Engineering projects
* Experience with MS tools suite (MS Project, WORD, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Working knowledge of EVMS
* Ability to work across the project team the definition of project requirements
* Interface with all levels of management for reporting project status
* Experience in Agile Project Management and Agile PM tools
* US Citizenship is required
* Must be able to travel for 3-4 days at least once per quarter

Desired Skills:

* 6 Sigma Specialist
* Project Management Certification
* Experience in working in an Engineering/Program work environment
* Experience developing proposals and project estimates
* Business Analyst / experience defining project scope/requirements
* Scrum Master, Product Owner and/or SPC certifications
* Experience with a DoD contractor is desirable

Required Education:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent related experience
* Preferred education or related experience in Project Management and Agile Project Management
