We are looking for an engineering manager for the .NET Core libraries team. Your team will design and implement .NET data types and libraries; these include base data types (such as String, DateTime, Int32, Regex, Collections, Compression, Networking, Cryptography, IO, Diagnostics, Globalization, and Reflection) and new areas of investment such as IoT, Machine Learning, and Big Data.

You will help design APIs that are easy to learn and easy to be productive with, and implement those APIs so that they are super fast and efficient to use. You will work on code almost all written in C#, and runs on many platforms (Linux, Mac, Windows) and architectures (x86, x64, ARM, ARM64) and potentially browsers (WASM). In coming releases, you will likely particularly focus on Linux support and performance.

* 8+ years experience working on software platforms or libraries
* 2+ years leading a software team (either as a technical lead or as a direct manager)

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
