The Account Experiences Core team is focused on the delivery of innovative services that transform the Microsoft Account experience across all devices and platforms. We are passionate about working together to build delightful and inclusive account experiences that empower customers to get the most out of what Microsoft & Foundational Experience team has to offer. In our key customer portal, <<https://account.microsoft.com>> (AMC), we continually experiment and evaluate all account experiences to rapidly lead customers toward an engaged state.

Skills & Qualifications:

A proven ability to lead and develop collaborative, inclusive teams of exceptional engineers.

A record of consistently contributing to user experiences for web sites that appeal to the customer's sense of style, fun, and aesthetics, as well as their functional needs.

Proven experience developing web platforms and/or core web user experience components used across diverse product sites

Good understanding of some web services and site technologies (for example, REST APIs , HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON etc.) and experience continually adapting to the rapidly changing UI technology

Experience with scrum, Kanban, or other agile engineering techniques,

Familiarity with the information worker customer segment and AAD authentication is a plus

Experience Required

BA/BS degree in CS, related discipline or equivalent work experience

10 or more years of engineering leadership experience

7 or more years of Web UX design and coding experience in high scale services or components used in them

15 or more years of general design and coding experience (C++, C#, and/or Java)

You will be leading a team writing code that powers our web portal <<https://account.microsoft.com>> which is visited by millions of customers globally a day. You'll be a technical leader focused on building a team, from a core of highly talented, collaborative and motivated engineers, while setting the technical direction to deliver the next generation of the high-scale, highly-available portal. You will work with the team to an emphasis on delightful, modern user experiences that increases the business value for the company, while defining the next generation architecture for the team, driving the updated experience and architecture across all teams contributing to the site, and creating new product value for our customers.

If you are an experienced engineering leader, with a passion for mentorship and team building, customer focus and engineering fundamentals, coupled with technical experience in driving an in-place architecture transformation of a high-scale web site while continually contributing new business value, you will thrive in this role.
