Job Summary

Based on specific objectives, contribute to the development, creation, and modification of spacecraft ground software applications. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Provides technical leadership to junior members of a development/test team. Specific applications include tools for Spacecraft Command and Control, Telemetry Playback and Analysis, and Mission Database Development.

Job Responsibilities

* Work with internal customers from Systems Engineering, Flight Software Engineering, Integration & Test, Harness Engineering and Mission Operations in defining tool requirements, coordinating change requests, and in testing and approving software releases
* Perform software activities including design, development, integration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, change control, release deployment and ongoing customer support
* Develop software applications using C/C , Python, SQL, Java, HTML/CSS/JavaScript and XML, in Linux and Windows development environments

Education and Experience

Requires BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related & 5 years, or MS & 3 years.

Requires experience/skills in: C/C , Python, SQL, Java, XML, HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Web Development, Linux and Windows Development

Preferred experience: Spacecraft Command & Control Tools, Including Telemetry Playback and Analysis, and/or Mission Database Development
