Are you passionate about driving innovation in healthcare? This is a unique role within the AI and Research NExT team to incubate new technology for managing digital health data in the cloud. Our team owns the open source FHIR Server for Azure and the Azure API for FHIR Azure offering, and we are rapidly expanding the features and services to support more healthcare data types and data analytics scenarios.

Microsoft Healthcare is looking for an experienced software engineer to drive the incubation and development of new technology that supports management of digital health data in the cloud. The right candidate for this position will be comfortable in a start-up environment, ready to take on multiple responsibilities, and adept at organizing and leading others around an ambitious goal.

Required:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
* 8+ years of industry experience in software development
* 5+ years of experience developing and shipping production software in C#, C++, or Java
* 3+ years of experience building and working with cloud technologies

Preferred:

* Experience with .NET, C# and associated toolsets / frameworks
* Experience with SQL and/or no-SQL databases
* Experience with technology and/or standards in the healthcare industry is a plus

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
