Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Oracle Application Express (APEX) is a declarative, rapid web application development tool for the Oracle Database. The APEX development team is looking for a candidate to help bring the latest advancements in APEX to Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In addition, this individual will be responsible for driving integration projects with current and upcoming Oracle PaaS services and building Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines for intranet and public-facing APEX applications.

We are looking for a motivated candidate who has a keen interest in modern web technologies, databases, PaaS, and automated tooling. The ideal applicant will have:

* At least 7 years technical experience using Oracle products or related software,


* Thorough understanding of web architecture,


* Experience developing web applications using APEX, PL/SQL, SQL, and JavaScript,


* Knowledge of RESTful Web Services and OAuth 2.0,


* Strong experience working on Linux platform and using OS tools (shell scripting, curl, Perl, Python),


* Experience with Cloud Computing (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS),


* Experience with DevOps tools (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, ELK, Docker, Vagrant, Hudson, Jenkins, GitLab).
