Job Description

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a skilled Microsoft SQL Server Developer and Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Department of Treasury's Enterprise Data Management (EDM) program. This position is physically located in Washington, DC and allows for partial telework.

The candidate will work directly with the Federal EDM team to develop and maintain components to ingest and deliver data into a data warehouse and to provide data downstream to Treasury vendors and customers. The candidate will model data, create the data schema, develop and deploy Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) scripts, and create and schedule batch jobs for ingestion and delivery of data files. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, refining, and improving the process.

Additionally, the candidate will be primarily responsible for the planning and execution of SQL-based and Models-based report conversions from SQL 2012 to SQL 2016. This will include the planning, analysis, documentation, conversion development, testing, and deployment of multiple reports to Test, User Acceptance Test (UAT), and Production environments.

This requisition will be filled at the principal or senior principal level.

Basic Qualifications Principal level:

* 6 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree (4 years of additional relevant experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree)


* 4 years of hands-on DBA experience using Microsoft SQL Server and strong SQL skills


* 2 years of hands-on development experience using Microsoft SQL Server scripting technology


* Fluency in the Microsoft SQL Server Technology stack (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, & SSMS)


* Experience with design and development of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) scripts


* Experience in identifying/validating business requirements and translating them into technical design documents


* Solid verbal and written communication skills


* Ability to independently organize work, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple and changing priorities


* Ability to work as a member of a team or independently as requested


* Must be available to provide scheduled and ad hoc evening and weekend functional support


* Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation security clearance


* Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience converting reports from SQL 2012 to SQL 2016


* Experience working with SQL-based and Models-based reports


* Experience working within an Agile framework


* Experience in Federal environment
