Responsibilities

Job Description:

Raytheon is looking for a Program Engineer (PE) to serve as liaison between the Program Office and project teams on one or more programs. The Program Engineer's role will include the Engineering management of awarded programs, as well as engineering management of active pursuits. On awarded programs, the PE is responsible for developing and maintaining program planning documents, and works closely with the Engineering Process Group (EPG) to ensure program compliance with approved plans and processes. The PE is also responsible for program execution and monitoring of the engineering solution, including cost, schedule, and technical performance. The PE works closely with Control Account Managers (CAM) for the collection and analysis of performance metrics, development of Estimate At Completes (EAC), and variance analysis reporting. Other activities include coordination of engineering efforts across project teams, meeting attendance, participation in Change Control and Risk and Opportunity Boards, and presenting monthly project status reports to senior management.

On active pursuits, responsibilities of the Program Engineer include performance to New Business Initiative (NBI) budgets, preparing/presenting Engineering Bid Reviews (EBR) and Directorate Bid Reviews, preparing and reviewing competitive and executable proposals and basis of estimates (BOE) on new and follow-on pursuits. Also includes obtaining Lead and/or supporting organization approvals, interfacing with other IIS engineering functions, Supply Chain Management, Program Management, and Business Development/Capture Management teams to help grow the business.

This position offers an opportunity for an individual with hands-on engineering and management expertise and strong human relations skills to demonstrate their leadership capability, proposal development, team building and technical skills. The Program Engineer will work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Business Development, solution architects, Supply Chain Management and operations personnel during all phases of new business acquisition, program startup, execution and closeout.

Candidate must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET clearance.

Required Skills:

* 4+ years of related work experience
* EVMS certification
* Project/Team leadership skills
* Project planning tools (i.e. scheduling and labor forecasting)
* Communication/presentation skills

Desired Skills:

* Recent CAM experience
* Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership

Required Education (including Major):

* Bachelor's degree in related field of study or 5 years related experience
