Job Description

Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.

As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.

The Support Renewal, Incentive Compensation and Enterprise Performance Management New Initiatives group within OAL is responsible for the design, development and implementation of solutions for a wide range of teams including Incentive Compensation, General Ledger Budgeting and Planning, Sales Force planning, and more. These applications and solutions are critical to Oracle as they are used to drive general ledger accounting, sales, planning, and compensation customizations to support Oracle's global sales and financial focused work force and processes.

Essential Functions:

* Enthusiasm and passion for building next-gen enterprise applications
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* In-depth work with Java, JPA, ADF, HTML, Springboot, JavaScript, Eclipse, CSS, SQL PL/SQL, and other web/micro service tools
* Research and collaboratively design new frameworks, implementation technologies and develop adoption recommendations
* Implement high performing complex cross functional solutions with excellent quality and on-time delivery
* Work in a fast paced global virtual environment with coordination across time-zones
* Work with business teams to understand their requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
* Take ownership and manage projects potentially taking a lead role of small teams
* Work with junior developers providing technical guidance and performing code reviews

Desired Industry Experience:

* Experience in developing REST web services
* Exposure to javascript, HTML, CSS and front end frameworks
* Experience and proven effectiveness using project management, presentation, and collaboration tools to organize project work and staff
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a team lead within a structured development organization

Desired Industry Experience:

* Overall 5 to 12 years experience in enterprise application development (preferably Oracle), Java focused tools and web development methodologies
* In-depth knowledge and proven skills with Java, JPA, ADF, HTML, Springboot, JavaScript, Eclipse, CSS, SQL PL/SQL, Oracle Products and other web/micro service focused development tools
* Experience with REST web services, cloud and database development, and front end frameworks
* Proven effectiveness with project management, business and technical communications, and use of collaboration tools
* Experience with Agile development and collaboration approach. Experience with SAFe Agile development would be a plus.
* Ability to take ownership and work both independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team within a structured development organization
* Experience with Software Development Life Cycle activities - feasibility review, requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, and maintenance

Education and Certification:

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in computer science, computer or electrical engineering, or related field.
