Job Description

The job holder consults and provides professional support for major components of the company's information security infrastructure. S/he is responsible for supporting the technical analysis, design, consulting, and product review of security components. Job holder must have significant experience with multiple vulnerability scanning technologies and packages, including a lead role in identifying new tools and techniques. S/he evaluates and assesses existing technical issues by researching and identifying innovative solutions to broad and complex information security challenges. Candidate is responsible for managing components of various projects to completion, consulting with various corporate teams, both within the IT and business environments, to derive information security solutions.

40 % Contributes to development and implementation of security architecture, standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms in diverse system environments. Assists in

insuring that all significant security concerns are addressed and mitigated and that appropriate standards are established and published.

30 % Participates in evaluation, testing and implementation of emerging data control technologies, information systems security issues, safeguards, and techniques. Presents proposed

security enhancements to management for approval, funding and implementation.

30 % Screens and selects tools to automate security administration. Makes recommendations for best practices with security controls. Schedules and evaluates vendor security software

through testing and discussions with external business users.

Principal Information Security Analyst->> Consults on a senior level and provides professional support for major components of the company's information security infrastructure. Contributes to the development and implementation of security architecture, standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms in diverse system environments. Consults with the business and operational infrastructure personnel regarding new and existing technologies. Recommends new security tools to management and reports and provides guidance and expertise in their implementation. Reviews and analyzes highly complex data and information to provide insights, conclusions and actionable recommendations. Defines, implements, and applies area-wide security and/or COB policies and standards by leveraging in-depth knowledge of globally accepted information security and/or COB principles. Addresses high risk security concerns or incidents. Recommends course of action to mitigate risk and ensures that appropriate standards are established and published. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred
* 10-12 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required
* Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus

* Preferred Skills

Minimum of 6 years experience in information security or related technology experience required. Job holder must have experience with software, programming languages, practices and technologies for securing the company's information security infrastructure. S/he must have basic knowledge of the security systems and processes. Practical knowledge in the areas of network and perimeter defense, authentication and authorization, risk assessment and/or security support services required. Effective oral and written communication skills also required.

S/he must be able to provide appropriate and sound advice to internal and external customers.

Job holder must be accountable and able to effectively handle projects in a context of organizational change. B.S. or B.A. or equivalent work experience required; security certification a plus (CISSP - Certified Information Security Systems Professional or CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor).
