Job Description

Responsibilities:

As a security automation engineer / architect, you will be responsible to partner with our DevOps teams to design, test and build detective, responsive and preventative controls to ensure a secure coding platform.

* Propose, develop and implement automation of security controls to support DevSecOps methodologies.


* Provision, deploy and maintain security tools in collaboration with the application development teams.


* Research current trends in DevOps tools in order to design best in class DevSecOps. Orchestrate multiple Proof of Concept initiatives to insure the AppSec team remains on the cutting edge of vulnerability prevention, detection and remediation.



Consults on a senior level and provides professional support for major components of the company's information security infrastructure. Contributes to the development and implementation of security architecture, standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms in diverse system environments. Consults with the business and operational infrastructure personnel regarding new and existing technologies. Recommends new security tools to management and reports and provides guidance and expertise in their implementation.

Reviews and analyzes highly complex data and information to provide insights, conclusions and actionable recommendations. Defines, implements, and applies area-wide security and/or COB policies and standards by leveraging in-depth knowledge of globally accepted information security and/or COB principles. Addresses high risk security concerns or incidents. Recommends course of action to mitigate risk and ensures that appropriate standards are established and published.

Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.

Qualifications Technical Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
* 10-12 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required
* Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.


* Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and administrative functions (Ops Support)
* Working knowledge of SDLC or CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Selenium, Docker, Chef, Puppet, JIRA, etc.


* Working knowledge of secure code testing tools using static code analysis, dynamic analysis and Interactive Application Security Testing.


* Ability to work independently to assess and address system issues



Preferred Skills:

* Application security experience
* CCSP and/or CSSLP certification


* Experience working on an Agile team


* Working knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27000
