As one of the leading commercial bank, Small Businesses are mission critical to our business. The charter of the Small Business design team is to investigate, create, and share experiences that flow out to product teams. It's a think/make environment, driven to answer the why and how customers experience products or services. Working with business and technology partners, Small Business XD team will use design and prototyping to guide early product/service development, bring greater clarity to engineering goals, and develop a XD-grounded point of view.

As a principal experience designer working in the Small Business you will

Lead, define and generate customer experience and product experiments for small business products and services. You will use your broad design skills to explore potential ideas to create or improve value to the user through prototypes and other tangible experiments. You will be able to frame opportunities based on research and strategic insights. You will lead a range of projects through execution and mentorship you will ensure that teams are delivering appropriate results to meet the desired objectives. You will set key expectations and quality benchmarks for everything from prototypes to detailed designs. You will work closely with technology partners to identify enablers and capabilities and business partners to understand objectives and goals set by executive management.

You're a person who has (required skills)

* 8+ years of well-rounded design experience
* An outstanding portfolio that exemplifies excellence
* Strong experience strategic product stories that balances user, business and technology value
* Strong project and team leadership experience with a track record of inspiring your team to deliver world-class solutions
* Expertise in designing for a wide range of customer and product experiences, spanning digital and physical touchpoints
* Mastery of Axure, Sketch, inVision, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and other design, communication and prototyping tools
* Experience working with software developers and engineers to deliver on design requirements
* Experience unpacking complex challenges and create a plan to untangle the complexity and transform it into tangible results or actions

* Is an enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and an intense focus on achieving results
* Collaborates and builds trust with design, product, and tech partners
* Proactively seeks out strategic partnerships across organizations at every level
* Actively participates in design meetings and critiques, ensuring adherence to standards while keeping an eye out for improvements or reasonable exceptions
* Owns your schedule and delivers on time
* Embraces the opportunity to work in an office while collaborating with teammates and partners in other locations (not remote)
* Is available to travel occasionally

You'll be better prepared if you have (desired skills)

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in design or related discipline
* Financial or similar industry experience
* Mastery of human-centered design methodologies and rapid ideation processes such as Lean XD and Design Sprints
