This Principle Engineer II position will be responsible for leading the overall Unified Architecture Board and Test Environment Planning for Charter's key consumer facing video and non-video projects. This is a key strategic role in Technology Services to facilitate the delivery of logical architecture, component matrix, and network architecture artifacts to ensure a unified solution architecture is created and utilized by various Technology organizations. This position will assist the architects cross IT, AE, SE, WTG and other Technology teams to deliver an enterprise wide solution architecture. The Principal Engineer II will lead complex, technical programs whose team members' primary focus is to be a technical liaison among Technology architects, development and test teams. This person will streamline and facilitate the communication and collaboration among Technology architects.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

* Assigned complex and critical projects that involve several technical systems and constituents.
* Designs, implements, monitors, enhances and troubleshoots systems in assigned areas.
* Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
* Tests and reviews system designs.
* Provides Engineering Technical support and guidance to regional personnel and ensure all technical integration, changes,
* standards and documentation are met.
* Mentors and guides the work of senior technical staff.
* Reviews work plans and designs and advises on improvements.
* Adheres to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.
* Knows, understands and follows company policy.
* Performs other duties as requested by manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
* Must be detailed oriented and highly motivated
* Professional communication skills
* Able to adapt to agile and fast-paced environment
* Experience building and implementing model-driven, enterprise-level business solutions
* Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation

Education

BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience

Related Work Experience

* 10 years' experience with system installation, configuration and operations
* 6 years of software or DB development
* 4 years of DB schema design or XL message design and web service design
* 4 years AWS Cloud computing experience
* 2 years of building automation tools (ANT, Maven, Jenkins) and testing automation tools (SoapUI, JUnit)
