JOB SUMMARY
High performing individual contributor responsible for providing leadership for the purposes of testing Charter's WiFi products. Work with Product and Engineering stakeholders and drive a team of Quality Assurance engineers towards testing of Charter's evolving WiFi products and services.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collaborate with advanced engineering, wireless technology, software engineering, product and IT teams to develop test strategy, test plan and test cases.
* Provide leadership for testing new firmware, software and hardware supporting Charter's WiFi solutions.
* Construct test plans to validate functional, performance, and business requirements provided by product and engineering teams for WiFi solutions.
* Lead the defect management process across cross-functional teams. Triage, debug and document defects. Work with development and OEM to drive issue resolution and timing.
* Build executive level defect dashboard to provide clarity on product readiness for launch.
* Design, document, and implement unique test beds, automation frameworks, and tools to support WiFi testing
* Evaluate, select, and deploy new test tools and automation frameworks.
* Study future technology developments and formulate associated testing strategies.
* Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders.
* Provide day to day leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to test team members.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
* Strong knowledge of wireless technologies.
* Proven experience providing technical leadership for hardware, firmware and software testing.
* Comprehensive knowledge of modern routers and architecture for wireless solutions.
* Knowledge of end to end testing of wireless CPEs and related infrastructure/products working in close collaboration with other engineering teams.
* Proven ability to lead complex projects working with a cross-functional team across the different product, engineering, and operations organizations
* Experience developing device test automation for WiFi devices and technologies.
* Strong background and experience in broadband connection technologies ? Wi-Fi, Ethernet, DOCSIS, MoCA, and associated equipment
* Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
Education
Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or related work experience
Related Work Experience
5-10 years of engineering work experience
5-10 years of project management work experience
