Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems in is currently seeking a Principal Engineer, Hardware and Software Design Test Engineer for our Northridge, CA. location.

Position Summary

Software/Hardware Test Engineer with experience working with both test hardware and software. The candidate should be able to understand and use schematics, other hardware design documentation, test instrumentation, and write software to debug, test and operate hardware.

Successful candidate will develop embedded and GUI code, including system conceptualization and design, algorithm development, real-time multi-threaded code development, as well as testing and documentation. Software development role also includes code optimization, data analysis , software configuration management, as well as close interaction with software and hardware development teams

Required Skills

* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
* Minimum of 6 years of experience in developing real-time applications in C/C or C#
* Experience with electronic hardware development and debugging
* Good written and verbal communications skills
* U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Skills

* Test Engineering and digital and analog troubleshooting experience
* Knowledge of digital communications
* Experience with software configuration management and CMMI
* DoD TS/SCI clearance preferred but must be able to obtain a secret clearance
