A Principal Database Administrator to implement and support a world-class service to provide Kareo's customers with an always-on, state-of-the-art, automated SaaS environment on which to build our leading-edge products and services
Your Area of Focus
Work in a multi-function capacity mentoring team members and managing tasks as well as maintaining a healthy database environment
* Scale and maintain our multi-server, multi-database environment * Monitor hundreds of database jobs in SQL Server, and troubleshoot any failures * Understand and maintain windows Failover Clustering * Execute Adhoc Reporting Requests and the ability to Automate when needed * Maintain SSIS packages * Monitor database health using Data Performance Analyzer for Sql Server * Optimizing query performance * Monthly patching * Participate in On-call 24/7 Rotation
* A clear vision of how a multi-site database system should work when they work well. Know the difference between a good answer, a better answer, and a bad answer * Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management across all business teams * Hands-on experience: 10+ years on MSSQL to install, configure, upgrade, and maintain databases in a multi-server, clustered environment * Superior MSSQL DB troubleshooting, restoration, performance-tuning, and design skills and experience. Including SSIS, SSRS * Project/Agile team experience working closely with development, product, and support teams to ensure proper use of database features, best practices, and adherence to corporate database standards * A sense of urgency and priority.
