The Principal Architect's role is to lead the efforts to plan, design, develop and launch efficient applications in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues, opportunities or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments. The Principal Architect is highly experienced and has decision-making authority of an application or set of functions with an enterprise application. The Principal Architect is self - sufficient, requires limited supervision, and mentors/coaches others. The Principal Architect has extensive knowledge/experience applying technologies and with one or more business areas within aviation maintenance, engineering and materials management.
* Leads the design, development, and planning for solutions and technology standards to solve complex business problems
* Act as a subject matter expert in the functional and technical aspects of one of more Sceptre "modules" and/or the integration of Sceptre as well as mentors and advises on the technical and business impacts, risks and dependencies on making changes in the environment.
* Hands-on development, Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions
* Understands and applies the enterprise vision and strategy to the project solution while balancing tactical needs to deliver
Knowledge and Skills:
* Broad conceptual understanding of the Sceptre application and the supporting technology platform as a basis for delivering robust and reliable solutions
* Deep understanding of one or more Sceptre "modules" or the integration of Sceptre with other systems

Education:
Bachelors degree, preferably in Information Technology or Business or equivalent experience, education, or training.
Experience:
* 5 or more years of experience in application or integration design, development, installation, modification
* 3 or more years of experience in mainframe application coding and integration technologies
* 3 or more years of experience with solution design or enhancement in one of more of the Sceptre "modules" or integration with Sceptre to other systems
